Today, I visited The Tabernacle in Decatur, GA. It's a multicultural church with 50+ nationalities represented. The welcoming center was very inviting; and the pastor's wife, Sis. Jeanne Mayo, was extremely sweet. She greeted and physically served first time visitors! She wasn't too good for the people...Awesome!

As I continue my church home quest, tomorrow, I'll visit Union Missionary Baptist Church in Lithonia, GA where Rev. C. Andre Grier is pastor...He also happens to be my friend Stephanie Grier Simon's brother...I look forward to having a great time. If you're going to be at Union tomorrow, then please, holla at me.

A mother is one who nurtures and protects (dictionary.com). By that definition, a mother doesn’t have to be female. Also, a mother doesn’t have to have given birth to those s/he nurtures and/or protects. Moreover, by the given definition, giving birth doesn’t make a female a mother if she doesn’t nurture and protect her offspring. As such, if you’ve nurtured and protected others, then you fit the definition….Happy Mothers’ Day!

I’m thinking of the nursery rhyme “Row, Row, Row Your Boat”…In life, you might be caught in a stream. Though the stream might have an undercurrent that could take you out, that same stream has the strength to get you to your destiny. Don’t focus on the undercurrent. Look at your strengths. Dig deeply, and row to your dream...

I'm wondering how some self-appointed people think that they can speak on behalf of a group....For example, they'll use phrases such as, "We as a people", "We as women", "On behalf of [a group]", and the like ....If the whole group didn't vote for you to be the spokesperson, then just share your view...Don't present yourself as representing others...

Perception is interesting. A person might deem an act both good and bad, depending on how the person perceives the actor. For example, James and John both refuse to serve food to the homeless. Andy thinks highly of James so he considers James as being cautious for not serving. However, Andy thinks John is a low life so he considers John as arrogant for not serving. Is behavior behavior no matter who the actor is?...

Yay! Though my company has been in Atlanta for a couple of months, on Wednesday, I’m moving to Atlanta!...I’m thankful that a paternal cousin connected me to other cousins….I’ll temporarily share a house with a cousin (split bills)…and then find me a place...I look forward to what’s in store for me through my move to the Atl!
